Assigning and Evaluating Web Pages

Questions to Consider as You Assign and Evaluate Web Pages

     Assigning

1.Why do you want to assign web pages?  What is the purpose of the assignment you want to give?  How does the
assignment fit your goals for the course?
2.Can you transform an existing paper assignment into a web assignment?  What kinds of changes will you have to make?
3.What knowledge and skills will your students need to successfully complete the web assignment?  How will you ensure
that students have the necessary knowledge and skills?  How will you address differences in students' technical skill
          levels?
4.Will students submit the assignment in stages?  If so, what kind of feedback will they receive at each stage?

     Evaluating

1.How will you evaluate the following elements?

2.How will you weigh content and design in assigning a grade?
3.Will you share your evaluation criteria with students before they submit the assignment?

     Assessing Your Assignment

1.How will you evaluate the effectiveness of the assignment (review of completed projects, student evaluations, etc.)?
2.How will you revise the web assignment or your evaluation criteria if you give a web assignment in the future?
