Resources for
Creative Writing
Voice
of the Shuttle--This page has general information for the creative
writer.
A
Writer's Tool and Resources--This appears to be a private web page,
but it offers a wide range of general information for the creative writer.
Blue
Mountain Arts--This page sponsors regular online poetry contests.
The
Poetry Guild--This page sponsors regular poetry contests throughout
the year and the winners are published in an anthology.
The
Writer's Voice Literary Newsletter--This site is from the National
Writer's Voice Project of the YMCA's of America in downtown Detroit.
Much of this is local to the Detroit area, but they do announce national
eventsand contests as well. Another source of submission online.
The organization sponsors its own creative writing contests.
Inkspot--This
is an interesting source of general help for creative writers. Includes
a free subscription to a newsletter that has articles on marketing and
publishing. Has a special section for children's writers.
LitWeb--This
is a kind of wild and crazy online creative writer's chat line. Writers
can submit stories--they are advised to use a pseudonym--for audience response.
This page includes, among other things, a journal section and the Cup-O-Soul
Cafe which is a "Fiction Slam" page.
